Trinity Laban is striving to achieve excellence beyond tradition, creating a home for performing artists in which boundaries are pushed, collaborations are key, and artistic pioneers are made. We are a world-leading home for students from non-traditional backgrounds with a programme of activity that reaches out to all sections of society, centring the performing arts as a force for cultural and social progress.
The CertHE Dance Programme seeks to appoint suitably qualified candidates to hourly paid, part-time permanent teaching positions with effect from September 2026 who can deliver tuition in one or more of the following areas (indicating clearly your area(s) of expertise):
- Contemporary Dance
- Ballet
- Conditioning for Dancers
- Acting Through Dance
Due to timetable limitations, we are particularly seeking candidates who are able to teach at least two styles from the listed areas. While some roles may focus on teaching a single specialist area, the ability to deliver across multiple styles is highly valued. Please clearly state the style(s) you are able to teach within your application.
The successful candidates will represent an important addition to the newly developed CertHE Dance qualification and will join us at a time as we introduce the CertHE Dance programme to our portfolio of programmes.
Successful candidates will be widely recognised and highly respected industry specialists with significant experience and a distinguished record in teaching/delivering masterclasses/other relevant learning opportunities within the conservatoire sector or higher education sector widely. Able to teach to an exceptional level of technical competency and be able to provide effective support for individual student needs.
The successful candidate will have proven higher education teaching experience, strong or emerging research interests in dance, outstanding communication and organisational abilities, excellent IT skills, and the capability to deal with a busy and varied workload within a highly creative environment.
As an equal opportunity employer, we positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
Please note all applications submitted will be shortlisted anonymously by our recruiting panel, so please ensure that your name and personal details are not included to the supporting statement, otherwise we will not be able to consider your application.LocationLondon
