Everyday Maths is one of Babyzone’s practical, research-informed sessions, designed to help parents and children build early mathematical understanding through play,interaction and daily routines. Delivered within our hubs, the programme empowers families to feel confident using maths naturally at home and in everyday life.

As an Everyday Maths Educator, you will deliver

Babyzone’sEveryday Maths curriculum atLondon

Babyzonehub(s) each week. You will play a vital role in creating a welcoming,engaging and safe learning environment where parents, carers and children can learn together.

You will:

• Deliver the Everyday Maths curriculum with fidelity, ensuring sessions follow the intended structure, learning goals and ethos
• Make small,appropriate adjustments to delivery in response to the needs of local families while preserving core content
• Prepare thoroughly for each session, including completingrequiredonline pre-delivery modules on the Babyzonelearning platform
• Create a warm,inclusive and supportive atmosphere where all families feel encouraged to participate
• Model age-appropriate mathematical play and interactions, building families’ confidence to use maths in daily life
• Manage group dynamics tomaintaina calm,positive and engaging session environment
• Prioritise safeguarding,safetyand wellbeingat all times, in line with Babyzoneexpectations
• Work collaboratively with the Hub Manager and wider
  
  Babyzoneteam to support smooth hub delivery and continuous improvement
• Support the set-up and breakdown of the Babyzonespace and be available during hub hours (8:30am–3:00pm) on delivery days
• Maintainaccurateattendance and session records, delivering up to five 25-minute sessions per day with a maximum of ten families per session

We’relooking for someone who:

• Has professional teaching experience with nursery, pre-primary or primary-aged children
• Has a strong understanding of early childhood development and learning through play
• Is confident building trust and rapport with families from diverse backgrounds
• Communicates clearly and confidently with both adults and children
• Is reliable,organised and comfortable delivering structured, curriculum-based sessions
• Has a strong awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and a commitment to safe practice

• Location(the ideal candidate would be able to deliver sessions at all three hubs, though we are willing to considerone or two delivery days):
• Babyzone Hammersmith & Fulham on Tuesdays during term time
• Babyzone Barking & Dagenham on Wednesdays during term time
• Babyzone Barnet on Thursdays during term time
