Non-Executive Director

ISI is appointed by the UK Government to inspect independent schools in England that are members of the Independent Schools Council (ISC), private further education colleges, and British Schools Overseas. We also inspect provision for international qualified teacher status.

We manage a portfolio of more than 1,400 schools, educating over 500,000 children in England, and hold inspection experience in over 50 countries across five continents.

We are seeking a Non‑Executive Board Director to join our Board. Candidates should possess generalist NED skills and a senior specialism in education policy and/or research, drawing on broad experience across different educational contexts and settings.

Applicants should have a passion for the importance of education for young people and wider society, and share our ambitions and values.
