About the RoleWe’re looking for an experienced and proactive School Programme Administration Manager to play a central role in supporting the delivery of high‑quality academic administration across the College.
This is a key leadership position within Programme Administration, where you will oversee a team of Programme Administrators and take ownership of core administrative processes that underpin the student journey. You’ll ensure our systems, processes, and communications are efficient, compliant, and responsive to the needs of both students and our academic colleagues.
PLEASE NOTE:
We are recruiting three School Programme Administration Managers in total, each leading a distinct area:
Foundation, Social Sciences, and Creative programmes.
Working closely with Deans, Course Directors and wider academic teams, you’ll help shape and continuously improve administrative practices—ensuring consistency, accuracy, and a strong focus on student experience.
More about the role:You’ll lead from the front; balancing people management with operational delivery:
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team, providing guidance, structure, and ongoing support to ensure quality and efficiency
- Act as a key point of contact for students, academic staff and hourly paid lecturers, responding to queries with professionalism and care
- Support the smooth delivery of teaching through timetabling coordination, teaching cover arrangements, and communications
- Oversee key administrative processes such as interruptions of study, course and group changes
- Ensure the Virtual Learning Environment (Canvas) is accurately maintained, including submission links, module templates and updates
- Monitor and maintain compliance with academic regulations, policies and governance requirements
- Support the preparation of exam boards, audits, and reporting processes
- Analyse and report on student data (attendance, engagement, performance) to support decision‑making and continuous improvement
You’ll bring a strong blend of leadership capability, organisational expertise, and a genuine commitment to student‑focused administration.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Experience in a student or programme administration environment, ideally within Higher Education
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams in a fast‑paced setting
- Strong working knowledge of data systems, databases and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Confidence in interpreting and applying complex regulations and policies accurately
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and sensitively with a diverse student and staff population
- A detail‑oriented, methodical approach, combined with adaptability and a willingness to improve processes
