A highly regarded independent school in Balham is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis (4 days per week) from September.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide additional specialist support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), delivering high-quality 1:1 and small group interventions that enable children to reach their full potential.
The school is open to applications from qualified teachers with a recognised SEND qualification, as well as experienced primary teachers who have a genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional learning needs.

The Role Will Involve:
Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group teaching for pupils with additional learning needs
Planning personalised learning programmes to meet individual EHCP targets where appropriate
Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, helping them to access the curriculum and make meaningful progress
Working closely with class teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent support
Monitoring, assessing, and reviewing pupil progress
Promoting pupils' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience working with children with SEND in either mainstream or specialist settings
Hold a SEND qualification or demonstrate a strong interest and proven experience in special educational needs
Be patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Be confident delivering tailored interventions to individuals and small groups
Have a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
This role would suit an experienced primary teacher looking to specialise in SEND, or an established SEN Teacher seeking a rewarding part-time opportunity within a supportive independent school committed to helping every child thrive.
