A specialist independent school in South East London is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join its team from September 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally through high-quality teaching and a commitment to meeting individual learning needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that enable students to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.

Working closely with support staff, families, and other professionals, you will help create a positive learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

* Differentiate teaching to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs.

* Monitor, assess, and track student progress.

* Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

* Promote positive behaviour and support student wellbeing.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, carers, and external professionals.

* Support students in developing confidence, independence, and resilience.

* Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community.

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

* Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.

* Strong classroom management and communication skills.

* A commitment to inclusive education and student-centred learning.

* The ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

* A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and professional development.
