An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical teaching fellow to join Respiratory at the Royal Free Hospital. The post holder would spend their time organising undergraduate medical education and would also undertake on- call commitments.
The post holder would work with the Sub Dean UCLMS, undergraduate site leads and service line leads to continue to develop teaching on the RFH site.
The focus of the post is to enhance the student experience and facilitatestandardisation of teaching delivery across medical specialties at the Royal Free London Hospital site.
The main teaching duties of the post holder are to support the delivery of high quality medical education including the development, delivery and evaluation of courses in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and related activities.
Undergraduate teaching commitment-Participate in the development, coordination, delivery and evaluation ofundergraduate courses and assessment
- To attend and lead all relevant project meetings
- To provide clinical leadership for agreed projects-To liaise and engage organisation and other sector colleagues as appropriate
- Provide timely and effective clinical advice and leadership working with managers and staff
- Provide written reports on project progress, including risks and issues
- Participate in all aspects of the Fellowship and its evaluation-Work with specific departments to develop and improve theundergraduate experience
- Planning and providing dedicated bedside teaching, tutorials andlectures
- Being a key person in the delivery of the UCL medical school OSCEexams on the Hampstead site
- May occasionally be required to assist with education at the Barnet site

Person Specification Education & Professional Qualifications- MB BS or equivalent
- Full GMC Registration
- Satisfactory Completion Foundation Training
- MRCP
- Experience in acute general and respiratory medicine
- More experience after completion of foundation training is valuable
- Experience as a faculty member in simulation (team based and clinical skills)
- Research/QI experience
- Teaching experience to include bedside teaching, small group and classroom.
- Teaching experience to include bedside teaching, small group and classroom
- Effective team member
- Ability to take the lead where necessary
- Time management
- Flexibility
- Commitement to personal development
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
