Pathways School is a specialist Social, Emotional and Mental Health school for Years 1‑11. We are looking to appoint an inspirational KS2 Class Teacher for September 2026 or sooner. The role demands a motivational role model who supports pupils’ academic progress and their social, emotional understanding.
Responsibilities- Plan and teach well‑structured lessons to assigned classes following the school’s plans, curriculum and scheme of work.
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, using assessment data to inform instruction.
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.
- Set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
- Promote good progress and outcomes for pupils.
- Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
- Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for internal and external tests.
- Value and display children’s work.
- Qualified teacher with teaching experience at KS2 level.
- Ability to work with a range of children and young people with additional and complex needs.
- Strong team‑working skills and ability to build good working relationships with colleagues.
- Flexibility, enthusiasm, resilience and a good sense of humour.
- Commitment to ongoing personal development.
- High aspirations in teaching and learning for all children and young people.
- Competitive pay: £28,343 to £44,238 (depending on experience) plus SEN allowance (£2,787).
