Speech & Language Teaching Assistant – Southwark – Secondary School

£95‑£115 a day (depending on experience). Full time. Immediate start.

• Previous experience supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs.
• Experience working in a secondary school setting desirable.
• Confident delivering interventions and supporting communication development.
• Must be full‑time and available ASAP.

Seeking a patient and proactive Speech & Language Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11‑18 within a secondary school setting. You will work closely with teachers, the SEND department and Speech & Language Therapists to support students with speech, language and communication needs. The role involves delivering targeted interventions, supporting students in lessons, monitoring progress, and helping pupils develop their communication, social interaction and confidence across the curriculum.

This secondary school is located in the London Borough of Southwark and is within walking distance of a nearby London Underground station. The school caters for pupils aged 11‑18 and provides a supportive and inclusive environment with a strong focus on academic achievement, student wellbeing and SEND provision. The school was judged "Good" at its most recent Ofsted inspection in 2022.
