GSL Education London Branch is delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced femalePE Teacher to join a thriving comprehensive secondary school and Sixth Form in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate PE Teacher who is committed to inspiring young people and promoting a positive attitude towards health, fitness, and sport.

The school is seeking a dedicated PE Teacher who can deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, encourage participation across all abilities, and help students achieve their full potential. As a PE Teacher, you will become part of a supportive and ambitious team that values high-quality teaching and student success.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Inspire students to develop their physical skills, confidence, and teamwork abilities.
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress effectively.
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Organise and support extracurricular sports clubs, competitions, and school sporting events.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to support student development.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience working as a PE Teacher in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for physical education and sport.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to raising attainment and promoting student wellbeing.
  • A proactive, professional, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
