Community Connector (Local Key Holder / School Lettings Assistant)

Location: Pimlico Academy, 36 Lupus St, Pimlico, London, City of, SW1V 3AT
Contract type: Part time, Permanent
Hours of work: All team members are contracted to work set days per week and for this role you must be able to work Sundays every week. Shift times will be scheduled between 4:30pm and 10:30pm Monday–Friday and anywhere between 7:45am and 10:30pm Saturday or Sunday (shifts are a maximum of 8 hours). This part time role offers on average 5–15 hours per week.
Pay: £12.75 per hour

The income generated is used by the schools to improve the educational experience and facilities for their students, and to build stronger connections with the surrounding community.
Why this role is importantOur operation covers over 50 schools and we are constantly seeking like‑minded people to join our team of 100+ part‑time Community Connectors. These team members open and close our schools while ensuring customers receive great service and have all the help they need during their bookings.
Key responsibilities- Opening and closing assigned schools in the evenings and weekends – you will be a key holder and must remain onsite throughout customer bookings.
- Carrying out checks as necessary and light cleaning/tidying after bookings.
- Setting up and clearing tables and chairs (e.g., during exam periods) so that events can run in bare spaces or other similar requirements – training provided.
- Providing great customer service and communicating what’s happening at schools to the operations team.
- Exceptional customer service experience.
- A flexible, organised, and timely approach to all your work.
- Experience giving feedback on what works and what doesn’t – your input will be listened to and acted upon.

As this role involves working in schools, employment is dependent on a clear enhanced DBS check which we will run.
Training and supportYou will receive a full training programme to get you up and running at the school, followed by regular sessions with team leaders, operations managers, and the wider School Space team.
