Position: Hourly Paid Teacher of Singing – Ensemble: Dance (Level 4)
Location: Greater London

Our new CertHE Dance Programme seeks to appoint a suitably qualified candidate to an hourly paid, part-time permanent teaching position with effect from September 2026 who can deliver tuition in the following area:
Singing Teacher (ensemble singing for dancers).

The successful candidate will represent an important addition to the newly developed CertHE Dance qualification and will join us at a time as we introduce the CertHE Dance programme to our portfolio of programmes.

Successful candidates will be widely recognised and highly respected industry specialists with significant experience and a distinguished record in teaching/delivering masterclasses/other relevant learning opportunities within the conservatoire sector or higher education sector widely.

Applicants should be equipped to teach students studying dance, to develop ensemble singing techniques across a range of musical genres, understanding the full breadth of techniques, repertoire and styles required to meet current industry expectations and standards. Teachers should be able to teach to an exceptional level of technical and musical competency, and to sustain students’ emotional and musical needs over an extended period.

The successful candidate will have proven higher education music education teaching experience, strong or emerging research interests in music, and/or musical theatre, outstanding communication and organisational abilities, excellent IT skills and the capability to deal with a busy and varied workload, within a highly creative environment.
