Location: Greater London
Job Summary
An engaging and enthusiastic Teacher of Politics is required to join the Politics department from the beginning of the Autumn Term 2026 or Spring Term 2027. This is a part‑time role, anticipated to teach across 3 days per week.
Responsibilities- Teach A‑level politics following the Edexcel A Level Syllabus Route A (USA), covering UK politics, government, core ideologies, and US politics.
- Possibly teach History at GCSE and A‑level in addition to Politics.
- Be involved in the co‑curricular life of the school, supporting activities such as Junior Science Club, Faraday Society, Engineering Club, CCF, Community Service, and assisting the coaching of hockey, rowing, cricket or football.
- Experience teaching A‑level politics; experience teaching History is advantageous.
- Experienced teachers and ECTs are welcome to apply.
- Commitment to safeguarding and youth welfare, with required child protection screening, including former employer checks and DBS.
Staff are remunerated through the Kingston Grammar School salary scale, which is significantly above the national scale for teachers.
