Location: Greater London
Take the lead in planning and delivering our youth programme — bi‑weekly Sunday sessions, pastoral meetings, termly mid‑week events and an annual residential — while looking for ways to grow a ministry that forms lifelong disciples who know their identity, gifts and calling. This includes walking young people through key transitions (Kids to Youth in Year 6, younger to older youth, and sixth form into adulthood), building genuine community among them, and offering pastoral care that takes seriously the pressures they face today.
You’ll also inspire young people to live out and share their faith, connect them to the wider life and mission of the church, and commit to holding our volunteers and young people regularly in prayer.
The Diocese of London is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults through the use of the Safer Recruitment practice guidance. This role is subject to acceptable pre‑appointment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check.
The Diocese of London is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME) and disabled people are currently under‑represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.
