Position: Unqualified Teachers needed to work in secondary schools in East Londo
Location: East London

Principal Education is looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to work as unqualified teachers and cover supervisors in secondary schools across London. These are flexible, daily supply roles – you choose when you’re available.

The role:

As a cover supervisor, you’ll manage a classroom in the absence of the teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring a safe, positive learning environment. You won’t be expected to plan or teach lessons, but you’ll play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and behaviour.

What you MUST demonstrate:

Right to work in the UK
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to support pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
Flexibility, adaptability, and confidence to think on your feet
Calmness under pressure
An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Overseas police clearance if you’ve lived abroad for 6+ months in the last 5 years
Based in London or within a commutable distance
Able to provide 2 references from the last 2 years from professional emails

Pay and benefits:

£120–£140 per day for flexible daily cover, depending on experience
Higher pay rates for ongoing roles, aligned with the unqualified teacher pay scale ()
