Humanities Teacher Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Milk Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Abbey Wood on a full-time, temporary to permanent basis.
This Humanities Teacher role is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to inspiring students through the study of subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Education. The successful Humanities Teacher will join a supportive department and play a key role in developing students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and understanding of the world around them.
Located in Abbey Wood, the school benefits from excellent transport links, including the Elizabeth Line, making it easily accessible from across South East London and Kent. The local area has undergone significant regeneration in recent years and is home to a diverse and vibrant community, providing an exciting environment for an ambitious Humanities Teacher looking to develop their teaching career.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and delivering engaging Humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Teaching a broad Humanities curriculum, including subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Education
- Creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and discussion
- Assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress effectively
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Contributing to the wider Humanities department and school community
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities education
- Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Be committed to achieving positive outcomes for all students
- Be able to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
