GSL Education are currently seeking an experienced and committed Primary Teacher to join a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated primary school in Newham.

This full time role is for a Year 4 class and is available for an immediate start until the end of the academic year. The school is recognised for its welcoming atmosphere, strong leadership team, and supportive learning environment that encourages both staff and students to thrive.

As a Primary Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, support student progress, and contribute positively to the wider school community while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and Deliver Lessons:
    Prepare creative and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Support Student Progress:
    Monitor and assess student achievement, providing clear feedback to encourage development.
  • Create a Positive Learning Environment:
    Maintain a well-managed and inclusive classroom where students feel motivated to learn.
  • Differentiate Learning:
    Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
  • Promote Student Engagement:
    Encourage participation, confidence, and independence in learning.
  • Work Collaboratively:
    Liaise effectively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support student success.
  • Follow School Policies:
    Uphold safeguarding procedures and maintain professional standards at all times.
Requirements
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Recent UK-based teaching experience within a primary school.
  • Experience working as KS1/KS2 teacher in a school setting.
  • Able to provide relevant references.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • An updated CV covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Supportive school environment with a collaborative staff team.
  • Permanent contract potential from September 2026.
