The Role

We are seeking a passionate Head of Art to join our Art Department, or a Teacher of Art with a progression to Head of Art opportunity. This position involves teaching KS 3/4 students within a supportive environment that encourages artistic exploration and development. No previous experience is required as full training and support will be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm for art education.

Skills and Qualifications
  • A relevant degree or qualification in Art or Design (or equivalent)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to engage and inspire secondary school students at Key Stage 3/4 level
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess creative lessons aligned with curriculum requirements
  • Basic knowledge or willingness to learn about managing an arts department including budgeting, resources management, and team leadership (for Head of Art responsibilities)
