GSL Education London are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Business & Economics Teacher to work in a school in Tower Hamlets from September 2026 until Christmas, delivering engaging lessons that prepare students for future academic and professional success.
As a Business & Economics Teacher
, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, supporting students according to the curriculum and syllabus. This long-term position offers the opportunity to foster students' understanding of business principles, economic concepts, and real-world applications while creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Plan and deliver engaging Business and Economics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Support students according to the curriculum and syllabus.
- Develop students' analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school staff to support student achievement.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE, ECT/NQT, an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching Business Studies and Economics within schools.
- Strong subject knowledge of Business and Economics curricula.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students across different ability levels.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
