SEMH Teacher

Full-Time | Special School | September 2026 Start

GSL Education is seeking a committed and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a supportive Special School on a full-time basis from September 2026
. We are looking for teachers from any subject specialism who are passionate about supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. In addition to this vacancy, we also have a variety of SEMH Teacher opportunities available across the surrounding boroughs.

As an SEMH Teacher
, you will deliver engaging and adaptable lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes. You will foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment while building strong, positive relationships that encourage confidence, resilience, and personal growth.

The successful SEMH Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• The legal right to work in the UK – essential
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour, ideally within a specialist or alternative provision setting
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• A patient, resilient, and flexible approach to teaching
