About the Post
An opportunity has arisen to contribute to the School’s highly respected Secondary English and Drama PGCE pathways as an Associate lecturer, supporting the Senior Lecturer & Course Leader of the PGCE Secondary English and Drama courses.
This role is suited to a Secondary Drama specialist. You will be a highly experienced teacher with QTS, capable of delivering Drama subject content to a small cohort of trainees on a Secondary Combined English and Drama PGCE.
Subject‑specific teaching will take place primarily during the intensive blocks in September and January. In addition, you will contribute to Return to University days held throughout the placement period (September to July).
You will have a strong commitment to the University’s values, mission and strategic plan; a “coaching and developing” approach when dealing with colleagues and students; and working collegially; valuing the contribution of others and sharing knowledge and expertise.
We recognise the positive value of diversity and difference and we strongly welcome job applications from people of all backgrounds. We are keen to ensure the teaching workforce is more representative of London Met's diverse student population.
This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
