Art & Design Technician

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an Art & Design Technician to join the academy to support the teaching and learning of students within this department, and to provide support and services to the staff and students in line with the academy policies and procedures.

• Support students in 1:1 sessions and small groups.
• Prepare specialist materials.
• Contribute to the school's supportive and collaborative environment.
• Assist staff and students with service delivery aligning with academy policies.

• Hold an A Level or equivalent qualification in one or more Art related subjects.
• Creative and enthusiastic, with a flexible 'can do' attitude.
• Effective communicator; able to use initiative.
• Can adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new ideas.

Open to current Post 16 students or recent school leavers seeking first‑hand experience in a paid position.

This part‑time position offers an actual salary of £17,093 per annum (£30,505 full‑time equivalent) during term time plus one inset week. The role is 3 days a week, 8am–4pm, with some flexibility available.
