About the RoleALP Parkview Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Post 16 Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning to a small group of learners with SEND and challenging behaviour in our Post 16 provision.
You will plan, deliver and assess a specialist subject area while also teaching across the broader curriculum, supporting learners to achieve their full potential through personalised, engaging and ambitious teaching. You will line-manage LSAs and Tutors, contributing to a positive, well-supported team around each learner.

Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to Post 16 learners (and across key stages when required), in line with curriculum objectives.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans tailored to learners with SEND and complex needs.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate learner files and preparing pupils for examinations.
- Liaise with the Communications Manager, Behaviour Lead and other key staff to ensure appropriate interventions are in place.
- Line-manage and support LSAs and Tutors working within your provision.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment that keeps learners engaged and motivated.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or actively working towards either
- Experience working with young people with SEND, complex needs or challenging behaviour
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and/or alternative learning qualifications including Functional Skills and Vocational Learning
- Ability to plan and teach effectively using a range of strategies
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Empathetic, flexible and committed to raising achievement
- Degree-level qualification
- Qualifications related to SEND or challenging behaviour
- Experience managing or coordinating a team
- Knowledge of iGCSEs, Vocational Learning or Alternative Education Programmes
