Job Description

We seek a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our ground‑breaking student scholarship programme, generously funded by The Leather sellers’ Company. Since its launch in September 2022, the programme has already transformed students’ lives.

This position is available on a fixed‑term contract until 31 August 2028. If the scholarship programme proves successful, we plan to expand it with additional funding.

Programme Purpose

Our scholarship programme aims to empower Key Stage 3 students by providing tailored support. We want them to achieve their academic and personal best while fully engaging in their school experience. As part of the scholarship, students receive comprehensive support, including mentoring, extracurricular activities, and weekly tutoring. Our goal is to enhance both their well‑being and academic success.

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Lead Learning Mentor.
  • Provide effective support to scholarship students.
  • Use mentoring expertise to contribute to their success within the programme.
Salary Scale

Scale 6 (point 18 – 20) £37,509 – £38,637 pro‑rata

Hours

35 hours a week, 39 weeks a year (term time only including 5 INSET days)
