We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Functional Skills (FS) English Lecturer to join the Adult Learning and Skills Service. This 0.5 role will support the development and delivery of our English provision across the borough, ensuring adults gain literacy skills for life, learning and work.

Responsibilities

• Support learners to develop reading, writing and communication skills, building confidence, resilience and independence, especially with less‑able and disadvantaged learners.

• Participate in interviews, initial assessments, ongoing reviews and curriculum development to meet community needs and local priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 teaching qualification.

• Strong background in teaching Functional Skills English to adults aged 19+ in government‑funded settings.
