Are you an experienced Plumbing professional looking to step into education and pass on your industry knowledge to the next generation of apprentices?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plumbing Lecturer to join a well-established Further Education provider, delivering high-quality teaching and learning to Plumbing apprentices working towards their Level 3 qualification.
Whether you're already teaching or looking to move off the tools into a rewarding education role, full support and teacher training can be provided for the right candidate.
The RoleYou will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective teaching to Plumbing apprentices, helping them develop the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours required by the apprenticeship standard and preparing them for End Point Assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching and learning to Level 3 Plumbing apprentices
- Teaching Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours aligned to apprenticeship standards
- Preparing learners for successful completion of End Point Assessment (EPA)
- Monitoring and tracking apprentice progress using college systems
- Supporting learner development and achievement throughout their programme
- Contributing to curriculum development and course improvement
- Working closely with Apprenticeship Skills Coaches and employer partners
- Participating in learner reviews and progress monitoring activities
- Supporting recruitment, interviewing and enrolment activities when required
- Developing schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources
- Maintaining accurate learner records and administrative documentation
- Level 3 Plumbing qualification or equivalent industry-recognised qualification
- Current or recent industry experience within Plumbing
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good organisational and administrative abilities
- Ability to motivate and engage learners
- Strong team-working skills
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Assessor qualification
- Experience delivering training or teaching groups
- Knowledge of apprenticeships and apprenticeship standards
- Experience using digital learning platforms and teaching technologies
