Department: Nursery
Location: Kido Chiswick Nursery & Preschool
Compensation: £33,000 - £39,000 / year
Responsibilities- Lead nursery operations: ensure smooth day‑to‑day running and maintain high standards of care, education, and compliance.
- Manage and develop staff: supervise, appraise, coach, train, induct, and provide professional development.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): oversee safeguarding practices, referrals, staff training, and child‑protection procedures.
- Maintain health and safety compliance: conduct risk assessments, fire drills, medication administration, security, and adherence to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Build strong relationships with families: partner with parents to support children's individual needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure EYFS and Ofsted compliance: implement policies, keep accurate records, monitor quality, and lead inspection readiness.
- Drive high‑quality teaching and learning: support curriculum delivery, monitor observations and learning journeys, and promote best practice.
- Oversee staffing and resource management: ensure appropriate ratios, effective delegation, accurate record‑keeping, and efficient resources.
- Support nursery growth and occupancy: conduct parent tours, events, collaborate with admissions, and maintain excellent parent experiences.
- Promote a positive, inclusive culture: lead by example, encourage teamwork, champion equality and diversity, and support continuous improvement.
- Relevant childcare qualification, Level 3 minimum.
- Experience in early‑years management.
- Level 2 Maths and English functional skills if obtained Level 3 after 2014.
