We are looking to recruit two Psychology Lecturers/Senior Lecturers to join our Business and Science School based at our London, Bloomsbury campus.
As a Psychology Lecturer, you will deliver high quality education across ULaw’s postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, including curriculum development, quality management, enhancement activities and operational administration. Senior Lecturers lead the enhancement of programmes following the University’s strategy, policy and procedures.
The role is a 35‑hour working week based on a 5‑over‑7 schedule, allowing flexibility for evenings and weekends during teaching weeks. Work patterns will be discussed each term to promote wellbeing and work‑life balance.
Teaching and Academic Responsibilities- Teach and assess across the University of Law course portfolio in assigned subjects, providing written and oral feedback to students.
- Act as an academic coach, available to discuss students’ concerns, performance and progression.
- Assist in marketing, widening participation and extracurricular events.
- Supervise student dissertations and research projects.
- Demonstrated breadth and depth of professional experience in psychology or a related discipline to design and deliver teaching programmes.
- Professional, credible and commands respect within the academic community.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.
- Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE.
- Enrolment in the HEA programme (supported by the University) is required within 12 months of passing probation.
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA).
- Relevant teaching qualification.
- Significant expertise in diverse teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring, assessment, marking and team leadership.
