The role:

New City College Hackney Sixth Form Campus is a vibrant and ambitious learning community where students are encouraged to think independently, aim high, and develop the skills they need for university, apprenticeships, and future careers. Our campus is shaped by creativity, diversity, and a strong commitment to supporting every learner to achieve their potential.

We are now seeking a permanent Pastoral Tutor to join our dedicated team and play a central role in guiding students throughout their sixth‐form journey. In this role, you will deliver weekly group tutorials and one‐to‐one sessions that help learners set goals, stay motivated, and overcome personal or academic challenges. Working closely with teaching and support staff, you will monitor attendance, identify students who may be at risk, and ensure they receive timely and effective support.

Alongside academic guidance, you will contribute to enrichment, promote wellbeing, and help nurture the positive, inclusive culture that defines Hackney Sixth Form. This permanent, part‐time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people while being part of a supportive and committed college team.
