We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our welcoming and inclusive primary school in the heart of Paddington. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and making a positive difference every day.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups, and whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to assess pupil progress and contribute to planning next steps.
- Provide targeted interventions to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs where required.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development.
- Holds HLTA status or has equivalent experience and qualifications.
- Has experience working within a primary school setting.
- Demonstrates excellent literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Is confident leading whole-class learning when required.
- Has a sound understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Is adaptable, organised, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Has a positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for education.
