Location: Bromley, South East London
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist further education provider in Bromley seeking an experienced and passionate Lecturer to join their dedicated team.

The Role

As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated teaching that meets the individual needs of students while promoting independence, confidence and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons.
  • Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress against personalized learning goals and EHCP outcomes.
  • Leading and managing a team of Learning Support Assistants and Assistant Lecturers.
  • Working collaboratively with therapists, families and other professionals to support students’ learning and development.
  • Developing differentiated learning programmed tailored to individual needs.
  • Contributing to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
  • Supporting safeguarding, student wellbeing and an inclusive learning environment.
  • Participating in professional development and performance management activities.
About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • A degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE or Certificate in Education).
  • A minimum of five years’ experience working with children or young people with additional and complex needs.
  • Experience of planning and delivering differentiated learning.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student-centered learning.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of support staff.

Experience with in specialist education, SEND settings or further education is highly desirable. A specialist SEND qualification, experience leading teams and knowledge of assistive technology would also be advantageous.
