Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Join a School at the Heart of Its Community Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs in the Early Years? Do you want to be part of an exciting new chapter in a welcoming and inclusive primary school?

Our vibrant primary school in Streatham, Lambeth is proud to be opening a brand-new Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) this September and is seeking two experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape a specialist provision from the very beginning, working alongside experienced school leaders, teachers, and support staff who are committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

The Role

As an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs within the Early Years setting and the new ARP.
  • Deliver tailored interventions and learning activities to support individual EHCP targets.
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals.
  • Promote children's communication, social interaction, independence, and emotional well-being.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Support children with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a primary or Early Years setting.
  • A strong understanding of Autism, communication needs, and inclusive practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst using their own initiative.
