Our client, a leading Further Education provider in South East London, is seeking an experienced and inspiring Assistant Principal to provide strategic leadership across its 16–19 curriculum provision. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive leadership team during a period of growth and sector transformation.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading the strategic development of Study Programmes across multiple campuses
  • Driving outstanding teaching, learning and assessment outcomes
  • Supporting curriculum innovation aligned to local and regional skills needs
  • Leading quality improvement, performance management and inspection readiness
  • Overseeing English, maths and tutorial provision
  • Managing staffing, budgets and resources effectively
  • Developing employer engagement and commercially focused provision
  • Championing safeguarding, inclusion and student voice
  • Using performance data to drive continuous improvement and learner success
Required qualifications
  • Significant leadership experience within Further Education or a comparable educational environment
  • Proven curriculum planning and quality improvement expertise
  • Strong understanding of FE funding, qualifications and compliance frameworks
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Degree-level education
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Excellent communication, leadership and analytical skills
  • Experience managing and developing high‑performing teams

  • English and maths improvement strategies

A current and valid ENHANCED DBS will be required for this position.
