As an Autism Support Assistant, you will support boys with Autism, communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, independence and access to the secondary curriculum. You will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them stay focused in lessons, understand instructions, manage routines and build confidence across the school day. The successful Autism Support Assistant must be calm, consistent and confident supporting pupils who may require clear communication, structured routines and individualised support strategies.
