Salary:
- Assistant Professor (G8): £49,469 to £57,316, progressing to £60,795 per annum once in post
- Associate Professor (G9): £59,030 to £72,555, progressing to £79,276 per annum once in post

The appointee will:
- Taught undergraduate and postgraduate students in Computer Science
- Develop and provide innovative and inclusive teaching in relevant areas of Computer Science at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Contribute to service to the discipline in line with the evolving needs and aspirations of the Faculty and University
- Provide professional service commensurate with career stage
- Engage in mandatory mandatory mandatory? (mandator? not needed) ; encourage and support a wide variety of students, particularly those underrepresented in higher education
Preference may be given to candidates with active interests in software engineering. Candidates will be considered across all areas of Computer Science.
Qualifications- PhD completed, or near completion (all but dissertation), or equivalent professional experience in a relevant area
- FHEA status, or equivalent, achieved or expected (desirable)
- Teaching competency in Computer Science to Levels 4–7 (undergraduate and postgraduate)
- Excellent IT skills and evidence of supporting the integration of technologies into learning and teaching
- High caliber of written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, both face‑to‑face and online
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills
- Excellent ability to be adaptable, innovative, and inclusive in the role as advertised with regards to teaching and service
- Willingness and capacity to undertake continuous professional development in relation to institutionally strategic themes, including technology, data, sustainability and ethics
- Ability to develop excellent educational provision in areas with significant appeal to students, including postgraduate level, and with a focus on experiential learning
- Flexibility and capacity to teach across a wide range of courses, where appropriate in collaboration with specialists from other disciplines
- Demonstrated record of teaching excellence and service to the discipline
- Experience with innovative teaching, learning and assessment methods
