Are you an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for a flexible teaching opportunity in a welcoming and high‑achieving primary school?
A well‑established primary school in Barnet is seeking a talented Year 3/4 Teacher to join the team on a part‑time basis (Mondays and Tuesdays) from October 2026 to cover maternity leave.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced KS2 teacher who enjoys delivering engaging lessons while benefiting from an excellent work‑life balance. Full planning is provided, allowing you to focus on adapting lessons to meet the needs of your pupils and delivering high‑quality teaching.
The Role- Delivering engaging, well‑structured Key Stage 2 lessons using provided planning
- Adapting learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
- Monitoring progress and responding to pupils' understanding throughout lessons
- Creating a positive, well‑managed classroom where children enjoy learning
- Promoting resilience, respect, teamwork and confidence through everyday teaching
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of learning across the week
- Building positive relationships with pupils and families
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
- Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 or Year 4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Experience adapting learning to support pupils of varying abilities, including SEND
- A passion for delivering an engaging, broad and balanced curriculum
- Reliability and commitment to the Monday and Tuesday teaching pattern
