Lecturer in Finance

Overview

Lecturer in Finance (Teaching only) – Term up to 0.40 FTE, Fixed‑term.

Location:

London, Devon House (St Katharine Docks) / Portskewett. Salary:
Lecturer (G7) £42,701 – £48,035 per annum, pro rata.

• Develop and deliver innovative, inclusive teaching in Finance at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
• Provide professional service to the discipline and the Faculty of Social Sciences, contributing to interdisciplinary initiatives.
• Engage students in learning and assessment, supporting a wide variety of student backgrounds.
• Keep teaching practice up‑to‑date through continuous professional development, with an emphasis on AI, technology, data, sustainability and ethics.
• Support the integration of technology into learning and teaching activities.
• Participate in curriculum development and program improvement activities as required.

• Postgraduate degree in Finance or an equivalent professional qualification.
• FHEA status, or equivalent, achieved or expected (desirable).
• Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, innovative and inclusive in teaching.
• Teaching competency in Finance and related areas at Levels4‑7 (undergraduate/postgraduate).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong IT skills and experience supporting the integration of educational technology.
• Effective time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Active interest in Finance’s relationship with Financial Management, International Finance, and Fintech is an advantage.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to demonstrate this according to the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act
  2006.
