are you confident leading a classroom and passionate about supporting young people? We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable cover supervisors to work in a range of welcoming secondary schools across hackney.

must have previous experience working as a cover supervisor in a uk secondary school or have significant classroom-based experience supporting secondary-aged students. Applications without relevant experience will not be considered.

as a cover supervisor, you will:

• supervise classes of students aged 11–16 and 11–18 during the short-term absence of their teacher.
• deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain focused and engaged.
• manage classroom behaviour in accordance with the school's behaviour policy.
• support students in completing set work and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student behaviour.

• have previous experience working as a cover supervisor in a uk secondary school or substantial classroom experience with secondary-aged students (essential).
• be confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
• have excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• be adaptable, organised, and professional.
• hold an enhanced dbs on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
