Geography Teacher – Greenwich
Milk Education are working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in Greenwich to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic Geography Teacher for a September start. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Geography Teacher to join a successful Humanities department and inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
The successful Geography Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging curiosity about both human and physical geography while helping students develop critical thinking, analytical and fieldwork skills. Modern Geography curricula place a strong emphasis on real-world issues, environmental change, sustainability and geographical enquiry, making this an exciting time to teach the subject.
The Role:- Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Working as a Geography Teacher to inspire a passion for the subject and promote excellent progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed
- Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil attainment and progress
- Supporting students with GCSE preparation and examination success
- Contributing to curriculum development within the Humanities department
- Promoting geographical enquiry, critical thinking and wider world awareness
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge across human and physical geography
- Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A commitment to raising attainment and achievement for all learners
- ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply

Essential Requirements:- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional references covering the last two years
- Recent experience teaching Geography within UK secondary schools
