Primary Behaviour Support Assistant | NW5 | Full-Time | September Start
Are you passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning? Axcis Education is working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in the NW5 area that is looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant for a full-time role starting in September. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support throughout the school day.
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you'll help create a positive learning environment where every child feels safe, supported, and able to succeed.
- Providing targeted 1:1 support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour through consistency, encouragement, and clear boundaries
- Supporting children to develop emotional regulation and social skills
- Assisting pupils during lessons, transitions, and break times
- Working collaboratively with teachers, the SEND team, and parents where appropriate
- Recording progress and contributing to behaviour support plans
- Has previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or SEND
- Can remain calm and confident in challenging situations
- Builds positive relationships with children through patience and empathy
- Has experience in education, youth work, care, or a similar support role
- Is committed to making a lasting difference to children's wellbeing and development
