Are you passionate about safeguarding and professional development? We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Local Safeguarding Board Training and Development Officer based in Havering, Greater London.

About the Role
  • Develop and deliver an annual safeguarding training programme for both children and adult boards.
  • Organise engaging training events tailored to the specific needs of our community.
  • Promote the vital work of Havering Safeguarding Boards through impactful training and events.
  • Analyse training outcomes and present quarterly reports to improve service quality.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct annual training needs analyses to ensure our offerings match community needs.
  • Deliver a minimum of 30 training sessions each year across various disciplines.
  • Establish and manage a network of approved trainers while maintaining quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to strengthen safeguarding practises.

  • A strong communicator with experience in training and development.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles and practises.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • A proactive approach to improving outcomes and addressing identified gaps.
