ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham seeking a Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September. This full-time, long-term position offers full class teaching responsibilities for the entire academic year, providing an exciting opportunity to lead a Year 2 class within a supportive and collaborative school community.

This Year 2 Teacher role in Lewisham would suit experienced Primary Teachers or confident ECTs looking to further develop their career within Key Stage 1 while taking on full classroom responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities of Year 2 Teacher:- Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Plan, prepare and assess engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 2 pupils.
- Take full responsibility for pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.
- Prepare pupils for the end of Key Stage 1 curriculum expectations through engaging and well-structured learning.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where every child can thrive.
- Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development.
- Contribute to wider school responsibilities, including staff meetings, parent consultations and school events.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential).
- Be a confident ECT or experienced teacher with experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.
- Be confident using assessment to inform planning and accelerate pupil achievement.
- Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate positively with staff, pupils and families.
- A supportive and collaborative leadership team.
- Engaged and enthusiastic pupils who enjoy learning.
