- Music to join our team and play a key role in shaping and delivering an exceptional music curriculum across our schools in London.

As the Assistant Head of Curriculum
- Music, you will be instrumental in developing, leading, and enhancing our music curriculum to ensure it is engaging, innovative, and inclusive. You will work closely with the Head of Curriculum and teaching teams to maintain high standards of teaching and learning, fostering a love of music in our students and supporting their creative and academic development.

• Support the Head of Curriculum in designing, implementing, and reviewing the music curriculum to meet national standards and the diverse needs of students.
• Lead and inspire music teachers by providing guidance, resources, and professional development opportunities.
• Monitor and evaluate teaching quality and student progress within the music department, using data to inform improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate music education into broader school initiatives and extra-curricular programmes.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and achievement.
• Organise and support musical events, performances, and competitions that showcase student talents and foster community engagement.
• Keep abreast of current educational trends, technologies, and best practices in music education and curriculum development.
• Contribute to recruitment, induction, and mentoring of new music staff members.

• A recognised teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Proven experience teaching music across key stages, ideally within secondary education.
• Experience in curriculum leadership or a similar role, with strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Excellent subject knowledge in music theory, performance, and technology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students and staff.
• A commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Knowledge of current educational frameworks and assessment methods.
