Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.
Overview of the roleWe are looking for a confident and experienced education professional who can engage, influence and inspire young people across London's diverse communities. This role requires an individual with a strong educational background, proven experience delivering learning programmes and a thorough understanding of safeguarding and youth engagement.
You will act as a key ambassador, delivering high-impact outreach sessions, building strategic relationships with schools and stakeholders, and ensuring consistently high standards of educational delivery.
Key Accountabilities- Deliver engaging educational programmes to secondary school audiences across London.
- Lead the delivery of Project Guardian and wider safety-focused outreach initiatives.
- Develop and continuously improve education resources and learning materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, educational professionals and community partners.
- Secure programme bookings and support delivery against ambitious engagement targets.
- Support training and mentoring of outreach delivery staff where required.
- Organise and facilitate educational events, workshops and community sessions.
- Ensure all activity is delivered in line with safeguarding and compliance requirements.
- Previous experience in secondary school teaching, youth engagement, learning and development or educational outreach.
- Strong classroom, workshop or large-group presentation experience.
- Demonstrable experience designing and delivering educational programmes and learning resources.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage challenging and diverse audiences.
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding principles and experience applying them in practice.
- Experience building relationships with schools, local authorities, community organisations or key stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to travel extensively across London to deliver programmes and events.
- Experience adapting learning content to different age groups, abilities and learning needs.
- A proactive, resilient and professional approach with a passion for education, community engagement and youth development.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), teaching qualification or recognised training qualification.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people or students with additional needs.
- Experience in delivering PSHE and/or RSE materials in an educational setting
- Experience managing, mentoring or coaching others in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and wider educational landscape.
