Acer Recruitment are working with a well-established bilingual English-Spanish nursery located in Tooting, South West London. They are committed to providing high-quality Early Years education in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

They are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and inspirational Nursery Manager to lead their nursery. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, excellent educational knowledge, and a passion for delivering outstanding Early Years education.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management and operation of the nursery.
  • Ensure full compliance with the EYFS Statutory Framework and safeguarding requirements.
  • Lead, motivate and support staff to achieve high standards of care and education.
  • Promote high-quality teaching, learning and child development.
  • Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals and support professional development.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and external professionals.
  • Promote continuous improvement and maintain excellent standards across the setting.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or above preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role within an Early Years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding, safer recruitment, Prevent Duty and British Values.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
