The Institute of Infection, Immunity and Transplantation (IIIT) at UCL is seeking an enthusiastic and talented immunologist to join our thriving academic community as a Lecturer (Teaching).

The Institute of Infection, Immunity and Transplantation (IIT) is Department of the UCL Faculty of Medical Sciences comprising approximately 170 staff, including 40 academic/teaching faculty and 14 facilities or administrative support staff. We undertake discovery/translational research and teaching in the immunology of health and disease, and in pathogen biology. We are predominantly situated at the UCL Hampsted Campus within the Pears Building and UCL laboratories withing the Royal Free Hospital Building.

The Division is committed to delivering research led teaching. Our guiding principle is that we teach about what we do. Our cutting-edge research and clinical practice inform and shape the teaching we deliver, ensuring that our programmes and modules cover the most current thinking. In response to increased student demand and the introduction of new modules and programmes this fixed-term Lecturer (Teaching) post has been created to strengthen teaching capacity across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

This post will support strategic curriculum development, provide academic leadership across key programmes, and ensure continuity of teaching and student support.

In response to increased student demand and the introduction of new modules and programmes this fixed-term Lecturer (Teaching) post has been created to strengthen teaching capacity across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The postholder will support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across the Division and based on their specific areas of immunology expertise, enhance and add breadth to our existing teaching portfolio. This post will support strategic curriculum development, provide academic leadership across key programmes, and ensure continuity of teaching and student support.

• Act as Deputy Programme Lead for postgraduate taught (PGT) programme
• Contribute to the planning, design, development and delivery of modules within relevant subject areas (with focus on either computational Immunology, cancer Immunology, Immunotherapeutics or Cellular immunology)
• Design, and deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in infection, immunity and related biomedical sciences
• Plan, set and mark coursework, practical assessments and examinations, ensuring timely and high-quality feedback to students.
• Provide pastoral and academic support to undergraduate and postgraduate students, for example, as personal tutor
• Contribute to teaching delivery and assessment across Institute and Faculty programmes
• Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring programmes remain research-led, innovative and aligned with UCL's strategic educational priorities
