Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Education Service (THAMES) is seeking to appoint experienced Strings & Primary Curriculum Music tutors to teach in schools. There is also the potential for some teaching at the THAMES Music Centres on evenings and Saturday mornings, directing and supporting ensembles.

Your key task will be to teach music to pupils in individual/small group lessons, and/or whole classes, in line with THAMES policies and the Service Level Agreement (SLA) to schools in Tower Hamlets.

Candidates should have:

• Successful instrumental/curriculum teaching experience in a music service or school, delivering small group, whole class, or classroom curriculum music lessons
• Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
• Evidence of significant practical music-making at a high-level of performance

The postholder will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on appointment and then every three years thereafter.

Tower Hamlets Arts & Music Education Service (THAMES) is part of Tower Hamlets Council. THAMES works with schools and cultural organisations, to provide music and arts opportunities in the borough.

Membership organisation, subject association and charity
