Tutor Doctor Greenwich - Tutors Wanted (SEND & SEMH Experience Highly Valued)

Tutor Doctor Greenwich is looking for enthusiastic, compassionate Tutors to deliver one-to-one sessions in homes and schools across Greenwich, Lewisham, Charlton, and Eltham.

We are especially keen to hear from individuals who have experience supporting young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) or SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
-whether through tutoring, teaching, or other hands-on roles working with children and young people.

Location:

Greenwich, Lewisham, Charlton, Woolwich & Eltham

Salary:

Competitive (dependent on experience)

- The Role:

We're looking for engaging, reliable Tutors to deliver one-to-one sessions during school hours, both in students' homes, in local libraries and within secondary school settings.

This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone passionate about education, particularly those committed to supporting students with additional needs, including SEND and SEMH.

Tutor - What You'll Do:
  • Deliver high-quality, one-to-one tutoring (primarily daytime placements)
  • Support students in core subjects up to GCSE level (especially Maths and English)
  • Adapt your approach to meet a wide range of learning needs
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with students, particularly those with SEND or SEMH needs
  • Work independently on a self-employed basis
Tutor - Who We're Looking For:
  • Good academic record, ideally to further education qualification or in training
  • Experience working with young people (tutoring, teaching, mentoring, youth work, support roles, etc.)
  • Strong interest or experience in supporting SEND and/or SEMH learners
  • Confident communicator with excellent English skills
  • Based in South East London
