Autism Support Worker - SEN School - Brixton

This is a full-time, long-term position starting after the summer break, with the potential to continue beyond the academic year.
As an Autism Support Worker, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils with autism and complex needs. You'll work in a structured, supportive classroom setting, helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Delivering engaging, personalised activities
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and life skills
- Helping to maintain a calm and positive learning environment
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience with (or a strong understanding of) ASD and complex needs
- Is patient, empathetic, and approachable
- Feels confident working both one-to-one and within a classroom
- Builds strong relationships with students and colleagues
- Is passionate about supporting children with SEN
Experience is helpful but not essential - attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn are just as important.
- Experience as an Autism Support Worker, Teaching Assistant, or similar role (preferred)
- A genuine interest in supporting children with autism and SEN
- A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
