An exciting opportunity has become available for several experienced Communication Support Worker to join a supportive education provider in East London from September 2026.
We are looking for enthusiastic professionals who are passionate about supporting deaf and hearing‑impaired learners to achieve their full potential. The successful candidates will work closely with students across a variety of curriculum areas, providing high‑quality communication and learning support.
This opportunity would suit candidates from a range of backgrounds, including Further Education, schools, specialist education, residential care, supported living, or support work.
About YouWe're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- BSL Level 4 or 6 (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting deaf or hearing‑impaired individuals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to supporting learners
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
Experience in any of the following roles would be highly desirable:
- BSL Interpreter
- Communication Support Worker
- Teacher of the Deaf
- Learning Support Practitioner
- Learning Support Assistant
- Specialist Support Worker
- SEND Support Worker
- Deaf Support Worker
- Teaching Assistant (BSL)
- Education Support Worker
- September 2026 start
- Temporary contract until July 2027
- 30 hours per week
